The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach

Miles Batt 2 & Vikki Stockton
August 17 - September 22, 2018
Exhibition Opening: Friday, August 17th, at 6 PM

This exhibit features work by Miles G Batt 2. Explore exotic surreal-pop and abstract expressionist works by Florida artist Miles G. Batt Jr. Influenced by the Bauhaus artists Klee, Itten and Kandinsky, and others as Miro, Matisse, and Picasso, Miles paints vivid exotic images that grab attention and inspire the senses.
Growing up in the mountains of Western N. C. has inspired Vikki Stockton to focus on the elements of nature when creating her one of a kind hand built ceramic pieces. Her work ranges from the collectible personalized piece to functional art. Spheres are covered in regional native plants and animals, each lovingly crafted by hand. Her creation The Four Seasons was awarded Best in Show in the 2017 Juried show at the Ponte Vedra Cultural Center.

Another Side Revealed
Exhibition of Children's Works from Art with a Heart in Healthcare
August 17 - September 22, 2018
Exhibition Opening: Friday, August 17th, at 6 PM

Art with a Heart in Healthcare (AWAHIH), a nonprofit organization that provides personalized fine art experiences to enhance the healing process for patients and families at Wolfson Children's Hospital, Nemours Children's Clinic, and Mayo Clinic. For this exhibition, each artist started with a question, "If you could be anything, go anywhere, do anything … what would it be?" In answering this question, each patient rendered their self-portrait as they are and as they would be. Painted on canvas, patients explored their personalities, stories, and identities in a two-dimensional form. Each patient partnered with an artist in residence of AWAHIH bringing out their natural talents and expanding their artistic expression while promoting self-confidence and self-awareness during their hospital experience. An Other Side Revealed presents a vast variety in how these artists would alter their world.

Sponsored by First Tennessee Bank.

The Wilderness of North Florida's Parks

Works by Kathy Stark
September 28 - November 10, 2018
Exhibition Opening: Friday, September 28th, 6-8pm

Jacksonville artist Kathy Stark offers a unique, family-friendly exploration of the extensive system of natural parks in North Florida with her traveling exhibit and book titled The Wilderness of North Florida’s Parks. Stark combines her expansive watercolor paintings with sketches, historical facts and maps to create an exhibit that is a unique blend of art and education, serving as a tribute and guide to the great unspoiled stretches of our region. Former Governor and Senator Bob Graham and Florida Times-Union columnist and author Mark Woods both provide commentary in the book. The exhibit and book are an outgrowth of Stark’s personal passion for the outdoors and her love of the natural beauty of North Florida. Her project is sponsored by Merrill Lynch and in partnership with Timucuan Parks Foundation.

Kathy’s work has been collected both privately and corporately and has been shown in museums and galleries in Northeast Florida. Her website is www.kathystark.com and project Facebook page is The Wilderness of North Florida’s Parks.
