Youth

Our Mission

…is to create a sanctuary for every young person to experience the love of Christ. Our youth are building a foundation of faith in a safe and inclusive community. In real and relevant ways, our young people are taking their place in their community, their church, and the world, loving and serving others in the example of Jesus.

Join other middle and high school students, youth staff and adult volunteers on Wednesday nights at the Youth House for games, snacks, community building and Bible study. 2025 Kickoff is August 20th at 6:00 pm for all ages and parents in Westbury Hall. Regular Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) begins on August 27th in the Youth House.

What else are we up to?

Confirmation
Youth Confirmation is for all those in the 9th-12th grades and above wishing to confirm their baptismal vows and make a mature commitment to Christ and the church. During Confirmation, baptized persons are "confirmed" in the Christian faith with the laying on of hands by a bishop. Most years the class begins in late September and takes place on select Sundays throughout the year, ending with an overnight retreat. Click here to learn more!

Diocesan Events
The Diocese of Florida offers several single day and overnight events. The Youth Ministry promotes and participates in Diocesan events including New Beginnings, Happening, BreakOut, and Summer Camp at Camp Weed. For more information visit www.campweed.org

Outreach
Through outreach, we share the love of God in Christ with those in need. In the summer we partner with organizations throughout Jacksonville and the Beaches community, including BEAM, Blessings in a Backpack, Church Without Walls, Feeding NE FL, the Sanctuary on 8th Street, and St. Mary's Mission during our Hometown Mission Week. We have carried Christ’s love into the world during mission trips to Amistad in Bolivia. The first Friday of every month, we meet at Mission House to cook and serve dinner to our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
