Sundays in Summer

Children’s Church is back for the summer! Here are all the details:

Hospitality Lobby of the F+A Building

During 9 a.m. Church services.

Children’s Church is led by:

• Amy Schmitt (Director of Children’s Ministries)
• Amy Trinidad (Music Leader)
• Wynn Waldrop (Summer Intern from Texas Christian University)

Getting to and from Children’s Church:

. . . From the downstairs Traditional Service:

• Children will join the 9:00 AM service with their families in the Main Sanctuary.
• Just after the Collect of the Day, Amy Schmitt will carry the Children’s Cross and lead the children to the Hospitality Lobby.
• The children will return to the sanctuary before Communion, during “The Peace.”

. . . From the upstairs Jordan Service:

• Children will join the 9:00 AM service with their families in the upstairs contemporary worship space.
• Just before the first Reading, Wynn Waldrop will lead the children to the Hospitality Lobby.
• The children will return to the upstairs Jordan space after Children’s Church.

What will the kids do at Children’s Church?

• Singing and Dancing
• Breathing exercises
• Lighting a candle to recognize God’s presence
• Learning the 5 Finger Prayer (I love you God, Thank you God, I’m sorry God, Help others God, Help me God)
• Hearing a kid-friendly reading of the Gospel
• Discussing the Gospel
• Reciting a kid-friendly creed
