Love First VBS is a week-long day camp (9:00 – noon each day) for children age 4* – 5th grade. The camp is staffed by adult volunteers and youth in middle and high school. Through Bible stories, games, crafts, music and worship, children at Love First VBS discover that:

All people are lovable in the eyes of God, no exceptions (Love Self).
I am called to love and care for people in need (Love Neighbor).
I can see and feel God’s love in my life (Love God).

Youth and adult volunteers either lead activities or shepherd a small group of campers. Volunteers should plan to be with us from 8:30 – 12:30, and attend a volunteer training session (generally held on a weekday evening the week before VBS). For adult volunteers who serve all five days, complimentary childcare (mini-VBS!) is available for children who are too young to be campers. Youth volunteers are asked to stay late on the last day of VBS to help with breakdown and cleanup.

Our oldest campers (rising 5th grade) will spend one VBS day serving with one of our local outreach partners. Past 5th grade service days have included BEAM, Foster Closet, Habitat for Humanity, and K9’s for Warriors.
