The Beginners have a busy year at Christ Church Preschool, doubling their life span within their first year of school and experiencing innumerous new, engaging opportunities. Each child’s innate curiosity is cultivated as they learn and grow through new experiences and active involvement in their environment and with the people in their lives.

Toddlers
Age 18-23 months by September 1 of school year
Stimulating their natural sense of wonder, the Toddlers curriculum provides for thematic studies that foster the tremendous growth in language and understanding of their world. Using open-ended activities and a well-planned environment, our staff nurture children through the process and joy of hands-on, active learning experiences. Much of this year focuses on fostering new found independence and self-help skills, as well as reinforcing ever-expanding language development.
Twos

Wonder, exploration, play, and learning are all active parts of your two year olds day at Christ Church Preschool. The creative, supportive learning environment planned by our experienced staff allows children to be actively engaged in purposeful activities that will lay a solid foundation for their future with opportunities to develop self-confidence, instill a love of learning, and establish enthusiasm for new experiences through a combination of whole group instruction, center-based learning activities, and individualized attention.

Pre-K 3
Three years old by September 1 of the current school year
Understanding that students enter preschool with very different strengths, the Threes Program at Christ Church Preschool strives to incorporate foundational skills, while exposing them to many new multisensory experiences that enable them to explore, create, build, sort, organize, pretend, and move, all while helping them learn best about the world around them.
PreK- 4

Students in the Fours program meet 5 days a week, in preparation for the Kindergarten program. Although academics are introduced, it is through focused, play-based learning experiences around thematic units. Kindergarten

Children are given opportunities to explore, experiment, ask questions, make friends, and develop a true feeling of security and independence. Our aim is to nurture each child’s natural curiosity and to instill a love of learning, while getting them educationally and emotionally ready for elementary school beyond Christ Church Preschool. In addition to the Learning Without Tears handwriting curriculum, Kindergarten also incorporates Bridges Math, Open Court Reading, and Heggerty Phonics instruction into their daily experiences.
