Christ Church Creative Academy

We believe that art resonates with the human spirit. Built in the image of the ultimate creator, each of us has the ability and need to be creative. Art connects us - to one another, to our environment, and to a world beyond our understanding.

Christ Church Creative Academy strives to break through the barriers to personal creativity and exploration, to use art for spiritual growth, conversation, and community building. Our programs take three approaches to discovering the arts: instruction, creation, and engagement.

Our instructors are professional artists in their field and are trained in provide quality instruction in a safe, caring, and communal environment.

Our programming is generously supported by the Mallory Family Fine Arts Fund. Financial assistance is available upon request.

Creative Arts Academy Offerings & Contact

Music Instructors

Offer lessons for children and adults on various instruments. Contact: Dr. Tim Root

Dance

Offers a variety of lessons throughout the year including an annual production of the seasonal classic, The Nutcracker. Contact: Dawn Jacobs

Theater

The Academy presents at least two musical productions a year: a children’s production and an adult production that may include children. Casts include parishioners and community members. There are always lots of opportunities to volunteer!

Beaches Music Together

Beaches Music Together provides early childhood music education programs for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary-aged children with classes hosted at Christ Church Tuesdays through Fridays.

Music Together classes provide an environment for children to develop Basic Music Competency skills for a foundation of lifelong music learning. Please visit http://www.beachesmusictogether.com for schedule information and registration.

Painting
