Christ Church Ponte Vedra will host 11 worship services between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! As always, we are thrilled to welcome parishioners, visitors, out-of-town guests, and anyone else worship with us.
But, you might be wondering which service you should attend. Here's a quick guide to help you decide.
We'll begin on Christmas Eve at 2:00 PM with two services; one in the Main Sanctuary and one in the Contemporary Worship Space. While nursery care will be available during all 2:00, 4:00, and 6:00 services, the 2:00 in the Contemporary Space is geared specifically toward families with babies, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. The service in the Main Sanctuary will be what you may traditionally expect.
Our 4:00 PM service in the Main Sanctuary is anticipated to be the most crowded, so plan to arrive early if this is your choice! The Children's Christmas Pageant will delight; nearly 80 kids will don costumes to tell us the story of Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus. In addition, the Children's Choir will perform. For a quieter, candlelight experience with the Jordan Band, head over at the same time to the Contemporary Worship Space.
At 6:00 PM, in the Main Sanctuary, the sheep will have returned to the barn and we'll be back to a more traditional Christmas Eve service. Our beautiful Spanish-language service will run at the same time in the Contemporary Worship Space.
Finally, for the night owls who like incense, join us at 10:00 PM in the Main Sanctuary.
On Christmas Day, we will host one service in the Main Sanctuary at 10:00 AM. Be prepared for to enjoy all of your favorite Christmas hymns! There will be no nursery care today.
Looking ahead, we will host two services on the first Sunday after Christmas, December 29. The traditional service will take place at 9:00, and join for a beautiful Lessons and Carols service at 11:15. Bring the kids to join you as the nursery will be closed!
